Newtons recently handled a sale & purchase for me and couldn't wish for a better solicitor firm to deal with. Emma Wray & Olivia Easley were fantastic in overseeing both transactions and have no hesitation recommending their services.

I had a very poor experience with them and they haven't bothered to respond tom my complaint much more than 8 weeks elapsing. Just regarding the person asking to give the file - they already have it. The complaint was acknowledged well over 8 weeks ago (!) and because of that I have taken it to the ombudsman. They simply have not responded properly to the complaint in all that time! The complaint was acknowledged on Wed 8th October 2025! Since then nothing. You are supposed to respond to a complaint in 8 weeks and that is a generous allowance in my opinion! It is now 13 weeks with no real response. 13 weeks! Update - after calling the CEO I got a response to my complaint the next day (not a good one). They could finally be bothered at that point I suppose. They finally bothered to respond to my complaint - 13 weeks - and me taking time to chase it - in. If I hadn't taken the time out of my day to chase it with the CEO I shudder to think how long I would have been waiting. They invoiced me fast enough but getting a response to a complaint? Quite the wait!

This is the second time I’ve used Newtons conveyancing services for a property sale, specifically Emma Wray, and I would not use anyone else. Emma and the team including Olivia and Jacqui and all the administrators are absolutely brilliant. I’ve used other solicitors in the past and the stress from having to chase answers was horrible whereas with newtons it is a genuinely helpful and personable service. Leave a message and you will receive a phone call or email back the very same day with genuinely useful information. It takes so much stress away from the process and I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for that. Will never go anywhere else in future.

Absolutely awful experience, cost over £260 to be told what we knew already, no empathy or interest in our case, patronising and sounded like she was reading a scribt. Only interested in money ,If you want to waste your money use them if not find someone who cares and will help you. Not interested in upholding the law just money making machine. Christopher, Thank you for your reply however unfortunately you were not present in the discussion all we wanted is someone to listen to our cause and present the evidence we have against social services but we were very clearly told just to jump when told to and don't challenge the lies told to the court. We believe in relief and truth and to challenge wrong doing and do what's best for the children. Kind regards Andy
