This further boosts the legal team at Newtons, which now has nine solicitors advising on wills trusts and probate matters for clients across Yorkshire and the North East.
Helen Forster has been hired by Newtons Solicitors as a senior wills and probate solicitor. Previously at Winston Solicitors, and a well-known private client solicitor in the Harrogate area, Helen has a special interest in trusts and matters before the court of protection.
She is regularly appointed to act as a professional trustee and deputy for families where relatives have mental capacity issues – work which led Helen to being highly commended in the Modern Law Awards.
Helen also regularly provides seminars to other members of the profession on Court of Protection procedure and she is a member of STEP (the professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning). Helen will be based in the Harrogate and Knaresborough offices and act for clients across the region.
Chris Newton, managing director of Newtons Solicitors, says: “I’m obviously very pleased that Helen has decided to join Newtons. Her enthusiasm, energy and expertise will be a great addition to our busy team.”
Helen Forster, senior wills and probate solicitor at Newtons Solicitors, says: “I am delighted to become a part of the dynamic team at Newtons. I look forward to bringing my experience in mental capacity and deputyship work to the firm, to further strengthen its offering in Yorkshire and the North East.”
Newtons Solicitors, which offers a full range of legal services to individuals and companies, continues to invest widely across Yorkshire and the North East. Along with a raft of new appointments, including that of Helen Forster, Newtons has also recently extended its office space in Harrogate and Durham and opened a brand-new office in Stockton.
